PHOTOSHOP COMPOSITE PROBLEMS & THE WORKAROUNDS - Pre Recorded

Problem solving in Photoshop is one of the learning curves when creating composites, as things don't always fit together perfectly, selections aren't always clean, colours don't match and sometimes an element just looks like it's been pasted into the scene.

Whether you're working with photographic elements or bringing AI-generated elements into Photoshop, learning how to recognise these problems, and knowing how to fix, blend or disguise them, is an important part of creating a successful composite.

In this practical recorded session, I'll share the Photoshop techniques I regularly use to solve some of the most common composite problems.

I'll cover:

  • Quick selections, practical ways to get a good selection without spending forever on it

  • Removing halos and problem edges after cutting out an element

  • Colour matching elements from different sources

  • Blending and grounding elements so they feel part of the scene

  • Knowing when to fix, blend or disguise a problem rather than trying to make everything technically perfect

I'll work through real examples in Photoshop and show you how small changes and a little creative problem-solving can make a big difference to the finished image.
