Creativity in a Changing World

International Speaker & Creative Educator

I speak about creativity, Photoshop, digital artistry and the evolving role of AI in the creative process, combining practical knowledge with the creative thinking behind the tools.

I've presented internationally for organisations including the Royal Photographic Society, Photographic Society of America, Camversation, MyPhotoClub and Pro Photography WA, alongside creative organisations and events across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

My own creative journey has taken me from award-winning photography through Photoshop and digital artistry to AI-assisted creativity, giving me first-hand experience of how creative tools and the way we use them continue to evolve.

With a background in adult education and more than 15 years in corporate training, I bring extensive teaching and presenting experience alongside my creative practice. I'm also an Adobe Community Expert and recipient of the Adobe Creative Education Top Evangelist Award 2025.

My presentations are visual, practical and conversational. I share the thinking behind what I do, not simply the tools I use, and encourage audiences to look at creativity from a different perspective.

If you're looking for a speaker who can engage your audience and gently shake up the way they think about creativity, let's talk.

My Approach

Long before I began teaching Photoshop and digital creativity, I learned something that has stayed with me throughout my career: the best way to connect with people is to meet them where they are, not where you think they should be.

That philosophy has followed me from elite sports coaching and adult education through more than 15 years of corporate training and 14 years as a tour guide, sharing stories and experiences with international visitors travelling throughout Australia and New Zealand.

All of those experiences have shaped the way I present today. I know how to read an audience, adapt to different levels of knowledge, explain things without overcomplicating them and, most importantly, keep people engaged.

I don't believe in simply demonstrating which buttons to press. I share the thinking behind what I'm doing, encourage questions and want people to leave curious enough to explore further for themselves.

My presentations are relaxed, visual and grounded in real creative experience. There will usually be a story or two along the way — and probably a laugh as well.

Speaking Topics

Every audience is different. My talks can be tailored to suit your group, from creative inspiration and visual storytelling to practical demonstrations of Photoshop, AI and creative tools.

  • Creativity & the Creative Mind
Ideas, imagination, creative confidence, developing your own voice and learning to see possibilities differently.

  • Visual Storytelling
How composition, colour, light, atmosphere and creative choices can guide the viewer and give an image meaning — regardless of how it was created.

  • Creative Tools & Techniques
Photoshop, textures, Nik Collection, compositing, colour grading and the techniques I use to turn an idea into a finished piece.

  • AI & Creativity
Exploring AI as part of the creative process — from Photoshop's generative tools to prompting and AI-assisted workflows — while keeping human creativity at the centre.

  • From Photography to AI Artistry
My own journey from award-winning photography through Photoshop and digital artistry to AI-assisted creativity, and what that evolution has taught me about adapting to changing creative tools.

  • Behind the Artwork
Taking audiences behind the finished image to explore the layers, decisions, experimentation and problem-solving involved in bringing an idea to life.

“A big thank you to Sandra who spoke at our AI seminar via Zoom. Sandra is passionate and informative on the subject of creativity and AI processes. She opened the eyes of the audience and showed options and ideas that pushed the boundaries of what we saw as possible. “
