Textures can completely change the feel of an image — not by adding “stuff”, but by subtly shaping colour, tone and atmosphere.
In this one-hour online session, I’ll show how I use textures in Photoshop to enhance mood, soften colour, and bring cohesion to an image. We’ll focus on when textures genuinely add something, why certain textures work better than others, and how to make confident choices when selecting which texture to use.
This session is ideal if you enjoy working intuitively and want to use textures with more confidence and intention.
In this session we’ll explore:
How textures influence colour, tone and mood
Using textures subtly (without overpowering your image)
Blend modes I regularly use and why
Opacity, layering and decision-making
Seeing when a texture adds to an image — and when it doesn’t
I’ll be working through real examples in Photoshop and talking through my creative choices as I go.
